Its use
How to use the Positive Psychology Toolbox?
The Positive Psychology Toolbox is designed to be intuitive, and each game includes detailed instructions with explanations and examples. Here's an overview of the different ways you can use these tools to maximize their benefits.
Strengths Cards are ideal for personal and interpersonal exploration of your strengths.
As a couple or in a group:
Identify your own strengths: Spread out the cards and choose at least five strengths that define you, making you authentic, successful, and energized. Read the description and questions on the back. Then share your choices with concrete examples of situations where you have used them.
Name each other's strengths: Give four strengths to other group members, illustrating with specific examples of times you have seen them in action. This exercise is often thought-provoking and can create strong emotional bonds within the group.
Using Positive Action Cards
Positive Action Cards are designed to integrate new positive habits into your daily life, whether alone, with a friend, a coach or in a professional context.
Action Lab: Examine the cards to identify actions you are using or have already tried. Reflect on their effects and the changes they have produced. Decide whether you want to continue or repeat some of them.
What's the best fit?: Select the action that feels most natural, interesting, and/or important to you. These actions likely best fit your personality and increase your chances of implementing them.
One small step toward happiness: Rather than radical changes, choose a new action and plan small, realistic steps to gradually integrate it into your life. The goal is consistency, even if imperfect.
Workplace Wellness: Use these cards during training, coaching, or team building sessions. Ask each member to share their wellness habits, then work together to develop a positive action plan for the team.
Using Positive Transformation Cards
The Positive Transformation Cards are perfect for structured coaching, therapy, or deep personal exploration, promoting optimism, confidence, hope, and resilience.
DARE now process:
Choose a challenging situation or transformation goal.
Select five cards that appeal to you and arrange them in a circle with the "Consciousness" card in the center.
Optimism: Think about what you need to do or believe for a positive outcome. What is your first step?
Sense of self-efficacy: How do you feel about this journey? What do the details on the map tell you about yourself and your confidence in the face of the challenge?
Hope: What is your goal? Where do you want to go and how? What will motivate you to start?
Resilience: Identify potential challenges and the resources you have to overcome them.
Now (present moment): What does this card represent for your current situation? What change needs to take place?
Once the process is complete, turn the cards over and read the quotes to enrich your thoughts.
Image and Question Combination: Focus on a topic or challenge. Choose a card (intentionally or randomly) and let the image carry you. Then, choose a question card and let the words, image, and quote provoke responses that prompt action.
Creativity inspiration: During creativity workshops, spread out cards and invite participants to choose the ones that inspire them and relate to the theme. Cards can generate new associations of ideas and improve teamwork.
Using Mindfulness Cards
Mindfulness Cards are designed to initiate and support your daily mindfulness practice, offering a wide range of interventions and exercises.
Thematic choice: Choose a meditation or category to explore alone or with others, depending on your current needs:
Focused attention: To deliberately focus your attention on a stimulus.
Open Awareness: To be open and aware of the multitude of stimuli, without judgment.
Equanimity: To free yourself from stress, reduce psychological distress and regain calm by combining mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapies.
Positive Mindfulness: To enhance positive outcomes, happiness, and meaning.
